Better Than You’ll Ever Be, At Anything

It’s been six months and I’m still reeling from the announcement.  I dare say Tennant was better than Baker, and I freaking grew up on Baker.  Granted, Tennant got some help from Russell T. Davies’ show-running (who, by the way, is also stepping down, but being replaced by Steven Moffat, so I can’t exactly cry).

Portraying The Doctor, especially in Davies’ layered vision, required what can only be described as a weird fucking skill set, and Tennant somehow hit every note.

My feelings for his performance are summed up by this quote from Searching for Bobby Fischer:

He’s better at this than I’ve ever been at anything in my life. He’s better at this than you’ll ever be, at anything.
