Hmmm…I vote for The Wire and Wonderfalls.
I haven’t seen it, and I certainly love Philly, but the commercials for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia might be the most annoying ads I’ve ever seen. So I vote against that one (do you allow veto votes?).

Here are my top 3 picks for you:
1. Big Love (excellent cast, excellent storyline esp. the conflicts with Roman Grant.)
2. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (This show is so incredibly wrong; that’s what makes it great. Seriously, who becomes a crackhead in order to get on welfare?)
3. How I Met Your Mother (NPH totally makes this show!)

My top 2:
1) Deadwood - I’ve watched most of the first season, and it’s well worth it, although I suggest excessive amounts of caffeine if you’re going to watch straight through.
2) HIMYM - after “30 Rock”, the only new comedy worth a damn.
“But M-D,” I know you’re thinking, “top 2? You inhale TV like it’s oxygen. You can’t recommend any of those other shows?” No sir, I cannot. For the simple reason that I have seen a combined total of naught episodes of the others - some, like “The Wire” and “Big Love”, because of my intermittent HBO subscriber status, some, like “Criminal Minds”, because of conflicting schedules (or, in the case of “Wonderfalls”, FOX’s ‘blink & it’s cancelled’ method of scheduling), and some, like “Ugly Betty”, because I really couldn’t be bothered, no matter how good the cast, or because I simply refuse to watch anything on ABC.
I know it’s ‘off the board’, so to speak, but I highly recommend grabbing some “Top Gear” off the intertubes. Even if you’re not a gearhead (or an anglophile) it’s great fun. And don’t forget - new “Torchwood” on the 19th (26th if you want to wait for BBCA), and new “Doctor Who” & BSG in March!

I also recommend Flight of the Conchords on HBO.
