Mix Weekend is coming up. That’s when my friends and I get together and play mixes where each song has some significance regarding the past year. I did it last year (sigh, scroll down, stoopid non-fully-functional link) and the previous eight so this is our tenth anniversary. This time we’re making mega-mixes, a sort of best of, in addition to the 2003 mixes. Although I’m psyched for this, I’m especially psyched since this is the first time I’ll really be hosting folks (who hadn’t already lived there) in my new city. There’s much I want to show them, although it’s slowly occurring to me that most of it revolves around food. (I’ve only been here a few months, so I had to eat, didn’t have to sightsee). Still, it should be a lot of fun.
