I’m not sure what you did or, more to the point, what Mr. Penn expected you do which you did not, but here we are.

Perhaps you were to run an errand for him. I don’t know. Pick up some laundry from the dry cleaners or give him a ride to the airport. If that were the case, it seems you did not show up or the laundry were somehow damaged. In any case, you have clearly failed him.

You can see it in his eyes.

He isn’t angry per se.  Not like Henry Rollins.

Did you vote for Bush? Cos’ that’s right out.

I think you should apologize, whatever the crime or perceived slight. Sean Penn expected more of you. And, maybe, of himself. That’s the real tragedy.

Or maybe he’s just tired.
