The World Series of Pop Culture
Am I the only one who’s addicted to this?
And tell me the host isn’t what would happen if Bob Costas swallowed Jeff Goldblum.
The most embarassing moment for me was when the category was “Steven Spielberg Films” and I got two wrong. Yes, I forgot the name of the boat in Jaws and the name of the national monument in Close Encounters. And you know I would have been the guy they sent up for that category. I would have insisted. So sad.
I am, of course, rooting for Almost Perfect Strangers, the team created entirely from the Internet.

I’m totally hooked. Hooked, and a little pissed that I never found out about the auditions/test back in January. Playing at home, I’ve been doing pretty well, with a few notable exceptions (including the ones you mentioned). But I did remember that the Winslows from “Family Matters” were spun off from “Perfect Strangers”, and that MUST count for something. =)

We are so forming a team if they come around again.

Yes, this was a fun show. I just watched the conclusion. ** SPOILERS **
The only thing I did not like is that luck had such a large part – there were times I knew all 3 questions one team got, but only 2 the other did (and they did the same). I also really hated that they gave away the final two before it was determined. Almost Perfect Strangers was my favorite. Kim was amazing – I can’t believe she was only 23. I really wanted to see Kim vs. Jim at the end. They seemed to be the best. I am sure Kim is really kicking herself for her error, which I think resulted from over-eagernessa and excitement. I cannot believe Jim missed “One” after getting some pretty obscure questions in other rounds correct. The three best players seemed to be (1) Kim, (2) Jim, and (3) Alexandra, and I think the other members of Almost Perfect Strangers seemed better than the other members of the other two teams. Oh well.

I was pulling for APS, too. A Jim/Kim face/off would have rocked. I knew it was over for Boeghy Bunch when he got knocked out.
